7 The Electoral Literacy Club of the college, in collaboration with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs), organized a voter registration camp on 16th November 2024 and 26th November 2024. During the camp, students were registered for the issuance of voter ID cards.
8 A meeting was held between the PTA members and the principal of the college to address various issues and discuss strategies for the improvement of both college and students experience on 27/11/2024.
9 On 04/12/2024, the RRC (Red Ribbon Club) unit of GC Haripurdhar observed World AIDS Day by organized an impactful awareness campaign. Students celebrated World AIDS Day by organizing a vibrant flashmob, performed both at the Maa Bhangayni Temple Complex Haripurdhar and within the college premises, to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.
10 On 4th December 2024, Prof. Purvashi led a group of students to the serene Maa Bhangayni Temple Complex, Haripurdhar, for a rejuvenating session of yoga and meditation. This initiative was part of the college's Best Practices Program, aimed at promoting holistic well-being and mindfulness among students.
11 College Team visited in adapted school i.e. GSSS Diudi Kharahan to guide the students on Career Counselling on 05/12/2024.
12 A Guest Lecture was organised by CCPC, GC Haripurdhar on the topic “Developing Proficiency for Competitive Exams”. The Guest Speaker of this session was Tanaya Thakur Asst. Professor in Shoolini University, Solan.
13 NSS seven days special camp was observed from 12-12-2024 to 18-12-2024 wherein various guests from Health department, police department and banking sector came to aware the students.
14 A Poster Making competition was organized by the Road Safety Club on 19th December 2024, a Slogan Writing competition on 20th December 2024, and an Essay Writing competition on 21st December 2024, where posters and slogans related to road safety were created and written.
15 A reel making competition was organised by Red Ribbon Club of GC Haripurdhar on 30-12-2024 in which many students made reels to aware people about HIV AIDS.
16 On 14-02-2025, the Career Counselling and Placement Cell of GC Haripurdhar had organised an online Guest lecture on BUDGET 2025. The Guest Speaker of this session was Dr. Geeta Sharma, Assistant Professor, GGDSD COLLEGE CHANDIGARH.
17 On 14th February 2025, a rally was organized by the Road Safety Club of the college, in which an effort was made to raise awareness among the students about road safety.

19 The NSS unit of GC Haripurdhar, in association with the Eco Club, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and CSCA, organized a plantation drive on 24-02-2025 to support environmental conservation efforts. The event aimed to increase green cover on campus and spread awareness about the importance of tree plantation.

22 On March 6, 2025, GDC Haripurdhar welcomed students from GSSS Haripurdhar for an interactive educational visit. The visiting students explored the college’s computer lab and library and gained insights into the academic resources available to support their learning.
23 On March 8, 2025, International Women’s Day was commemorated at GDC Haripurdhar with great enthusiasm. To mark the occasion, students exhibited their artistic skills by creating mehndi and rangoli designs. The event served as a platform to honour the contributions of women while developing their skills.
24 In observance of World Glaucoma Week 2025, a special lecture was organized by the Health Block Sangrah, Sirmour on 12-03-2025. The lecture was delivered by Shri Chaman Soni, a respected health educator. The event aimed to raise awareness about glaucoma, its impact, and the importance of early detection and treatment.
25 On March 15, 2025, an online lecture on “Understanding and Combating Drug Addiction” was conducted at GDC Haripurdhar. The session was led by Dr. Sangeeta Kakkar from the Department of Psychology, Shoolini University, Solan, who provided an in-depth analysis of drug abuse, covering its symptoms, causes, effects, and treatment strategies. The session concluded with a pledge taken by the students to actively combat drug addiction and promote a healthier society.
26 On March 19, 2025, a farewell programme for the students of B.A III was organised by the students of B.A. I and B.A. II.
27 On 20-03-2025, the Red Ribbon Club of our college organized a walkathon to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, highlighting the importance of understanding and preventing the spread of the virus. It was a great initiative to educate and inspire the campus community about this crucial health issue.
28 On 20-03-2025, an Oath Taking Ceremony of the Road Safety Club was held in the college, in which the students resolved to follow traffic rules.
29 On 20-03-2025, the Anti-Drug Committee of our college organized a lecture on drug addiction and its health effects, with Sh. Chaman Soni Ji, a health educator from Health Block Sangrah, as the key speaker. The session highlighted the severe consequences of drug abuse and emphasized the importance of awareness and prevention.
30 The Old Student Association (OSA) meeting was held on 21-03-2025 at GDC Haripurdhar with the OSA committee. The discussions centered around strategies to increase student enrollment and how the association could contribute to this effort. Additionally, the committee explored potential green initiatives to promote sustainability on campus.
31 On 23-03-2025, as a part of the community outreach programme, a yoga and meditation session was organised today for the local community of Haripurdhar at the HPPWD Rest House, in which students from the college and people from the local community took part.
32 On 24-03-2025, a programme was organised by the Women Development Cell in association with the Directorate of Women and Child Development, wherein the guest speakers, Ms. Kritika Thakur and Ms. Yuvika Chauhan, explained the students about menstrual hygiene and women empowerment.
33 On 24-03-2025, A seminar on "Herbs/Medicinal Plants for Nutrition and Well-being" was held at GDC Haripurdhar. Dr. Tara Devi Sen Thakur, Assistant Professor, VGC Mandi, was the main speaker. She highlighted the importance of medicinal plants in daily life, promoting health through natural remedies. Students and faculty actively participated.
34 On 28-03-24, The Pre-Admission Counselling Committee of the IQAC in collaboration with the CCPC initiated an Admission Drive in which three Faculty members from the institution visited its adopted school GSSS Korag to counsel the students regarding the admission in the college.
35 On 29-03-24, an admission drive conducted by the Pre-Admission Counselling Committtee of the IQAC at GSSS Charna. In the drive, the faculty members interacted with the students from the outgoing batch and their parents in order to guide them to choose the right career path, to acquaint them with the facilities available in the college and motivate them to take admission to the institution.

37 On 10-04-2025, An admission drive was conducted by the IQAC’s Pre-Admission Counselling Committee at GSSS Haripurdhar. In this drive, the committee members gave a detailed account of all the facilities available in the College and encouraged them to seek admission to the college.
38 On 17-04-2025, a guest lecture titled “Career Options in Political Science” was organised by the OSA Formation and Management Committee in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, GDC Haripurdhar. The speaker for the same was Ms. Aruna Kumari, Asst. Prof. (Political Science), GC Kupvi who is also a former student of the institution.
39 On 22-04-2025, an online guest lecture titled “MA Entrance UGC NET Examinations Preparation Strategies” was organised in the college by the OSA Formation and Management Committee in collaboration with the Department of Political Science. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, AIR-01 in UGC NET JRF(Political Science), June 2024 and also an alumnus of the institution was the guest speaker for the same.
40 The Eco club of GDC Haripurdhar organised a “Post Plantation Care Activity” on 03-05-2025. The activity aimed to nurture the plants by watering them, removing weeds, and ensuring the surrounding areas were clean and conductive to healthy growth
41 A workshop on Intellectual Property Rights was organized by the Department of Commerce in collaboration with IQAC, GDC Haripurdhar on 07-05-2025, exclusively for faculty members in both online and offline modes. Keynote speakers included Prof.(Dr.) Ashish Baldi, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Punjab Technical University Bathinda and Dr. Abhishek Punia , Department of Commerce, S&T, GJU Hisar. Faculty from colleges like GDC Nohradhar, GC Ramshehar, GC Kupvi, GJU Hisar, GC Ronhat, and GC Sangrah actively participated in the enriching event.
42 A workshop titled “Buransh Utility Training Workshop” was organised on 13-05-2025 at Helipad, Haripurdhar in collaboration with Jai Bijai Mata Swayam Sahayara Samooh, Diuri Kharahan and Maa Bhangayani Social Work Community Haripurdhar,. In this camp, the trainer, Smt. Sonu Rana, explained to the students the benefits and procedures of making various items from the local flower Rhododendron or the Buransh. Various items like Buransh Chutney, Buransh Juice, Buransh Jam and Buransh Pudding were made. Also, a session on the local Dish Siddu was conducted. Members of PTA, OSA and the adopted School GSSS, Korag also attended the workshop.
43 Students from adopted school GSSS Diuri Kharahan who have appeared for their senior secondary examination visited the institution on 13-05-2025, in which, the pre-admission counselling committee gave them a college tour and explained all the facilities and courses available in the college through a PpT. They were also encouraged to seek admission to the college.
44 On 16-05-25, GDC Haripurdhar organised an educational visit to Horticulture Farm, Thyanbagh. The visit was conducted by the Career Counselling and Placement Cell in collaboration with Horticulture Farm, Thyanbagh. In this visit, the Incharge of the Farm, Sh. Arun Kumar gave students valuable information on various agricultural and horticultural practices like PEQS, gradting, mounding and coco pit making. He also provided hands on training and made the students try the activities themselves

47 Government Degree College Haripurdhar celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025, with great enthusiasm. Faculty, students, and staff gathered in the morning for a guided yoga session focusing on physical and mental well-being. Various asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques were demonstrated. The celebration reflected unity, discipline, and a commitment to health. The program concluded with a pledge to incorporate yoga regularly for holistic wellness and inner peace.
48 On 26-06-2025, in the observance International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Anti-Drug Committee of the college organised an online lecture on “Addiction and Drug Abuse” for the students of the college and two of its adopted schools- GSSS Haripurdhar and GSSS Korag, as a part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abiyan. The keynote speaker of the lecture was Ms. Pooja Thakur, Asst. Professor (Psychology), GGDSD College, Chandigarh. In her lecture, she eloquently discussed drug abuse, its causes, symptoms, effects and recovery methods.
49 An Anti-Drug Awareness Quiz was successfully conducted at GSSS Korag by GDC Haripurdhar to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse On 03-07-2025.
50 On 07-07-2025, An awareness session on the use and importance of the First Aid was conducted today at our college by the Dr. Sarita Thakur, Convener, First Aid Committee. This session aimed to educate students about the significance of first aid in our daily lives and how timely intervention can prevent serious health consequences. Three students Ms. Kirti, Ms Ankita Rana and Ms. Nisha (Rangers)from our college, who had received first aid training at a government hospital, also led the session. They shared their knowledge on various first aid techniques and explained how to apply them in real-life situations.
51 On 07-07-2025, a “Tree Care Activity” was organised by the Eco Club as a part of “Van Mahotsav”. In this activity, members of eco club planted trees in the adjoining forest area, which were adopted by students to be taken care of. The Tulsi(Basil) plant was also planted in pots across the college. This was followed by a lecture delivered by Sh. Karan Mohil, Asst. Prof. (Political Science) on the medicinal importance of the Tulsi plant.
52 On 09-07-2025, a session on “Social and Financial Implications of Drug Abuse” was organised at the adopted school GSSS Haripurdhar. In this session, two faculty members from the Anti-Drug Committee, Ms. Himadri Thakur and Dr. Sarita Thakur gave vital information regarding drug abuse and its serious consequences. A poster-making competition was also organised, in which students from the school presented the problem of Drug Abuse through creative art. Three students with the best Poster presentations were awarded.
53 On July 18, 2025, Government College Haripurdhar (IQAC) organized a one-day state-level workshop on “Drug De-addiction among Youth” in hybrid mode. The event aimed to raise awareness about substance abuse and promote healthy lifestyles. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Lalit Kumar Guleria. Key speakers included Mr. Jagat Sharma, Mr. Chaman Soni, and Mr. Vinay Chheenta, who addressed topics related to ethics, health, and sports in de-addiction. Students from nearby institutions and local organizations actively participated. Motivational talks and a skill session on identifying signs of drug use were also held
54 A lecture was organised in the college today by CCPC, GDC Haripurdhar Topic: “Career Growth Essentials” Speaker: Sh. Manik Kumar, DGM and Head at Jindal Hydro Baspa Plant, Kinnaur.
55 On 31-07-2025, members of the Old Students’ Association (OSA) visited the institution to discuss vital issues related to the college. They also conducted an interaction session with students wherein they motivated them to serve the institution diligently.
56 Bharat Scouts and Guides Scarf Day was celebrated on 01-08-2025 by the Rangers of this institution with great enthusiasm. The event highlighted the values of unity, service, and dedication. Wearing their scarves with pride, the Rangers reaffirmed their commitment to the Scout Promise and celebrated the spirit of Scouting and Guiding.
57 The Cultural Committee, GDC Haripurdhar organised the Celebration of the Saavan month and Teej Festival wherein the students displayed their talents in a series of competitions like Mehendi competition, Kite-making Competition, Talent Hunt Competition and Cultural Group Dance Competition. The occasion was graced by Smt. Murto Devi, Pradhan, Mahila Mandal, Gram Panchayat Tikri-Dasakna and other members of the Mahila Mandal.
58 A Post Admission Induction cum Orientation session was organised for the newly admitted students of B.A. 1st year on 07-08-2025, wherein the students were given detailed information regarding the faculty, institutional facilities, rules, regulations and awareness about drug abuse and no ragging policy of the institution.
59 The Old Students’ Association(OSA) of the Institution in collaboration with the Rhodo Eco Club, organised a plantation drive in which various members of the OSA, along with the students planted thirty saplings around the institution to increase the green cover and raise awareness about environmental conservation
